The Fort Lincoln/New Town will serve as Ryan Homes’ first endeavor within the District of Columbia home building market. The planned 234 town homes offered at Fort Lincoln will be larger in dimension and greater in square footage than what is currently offered in much of the area marketplace. This project is near Fort Lincoln Park, which offers suburban park amenities such as walking trails, picnic areas, tennis courts and baseball field in an urban environment.
L. S. Caldwell & Associates, Inc. (LSC), as the contract compliance officer, is responsible for implementation, documentation of efforts and monitoring goal achievements.
Within scheduled guidelines, LSC will complete the following tasks:
- Coordinate the efforts of the developer/general contractor toward CBE identification and development of successful CBE relationships.Develop CBE participation program and implementation plan.
- Work with local community organizations and business associations to ensure specific commitment and economic development benefits occur within the local community.
- Analyze eligible contracts/dollars to assist in contract sizing, packaging, subcontractor responsibility and subcontractor availability.
- Develop report mechanisms and provide instruction to the developer and all project contractors regarding tracking and reporting efforts to reach employment and contracting goals.
- Monitor and track reporting requirements for all trades that have specific contracting and employment goals associated with them.
