Greetings:
On behalf of WCS Construction (WCS), L. S. Caldwell & Associates, Inc. (LSC) is pleased to introduce you to a wonderful new program sponsored entirely by WCS. Starting January 23, 2023, WCS has contracted with Associated Building Contractors (ABC) to train and HIRE approximately sixty (60) District of Columbia residents for positions in major construction firms. We are hopeful that you will notify your members/constituents regarding this opportunity.
WCS, the Developer and select Subcontractor Partners of the Ward 8 development project, Terrace Manor Apartments Redevelopment (TMAR), have determined and committed to support the community by providing Scholarships to District residents to learn and enter the construction trade industries.

TRAINING TO HIRE PROGRAM
|
Beginning with employment opportunities on the Terrace Manor Apartments Redevelopment (TMAR), WCS and Subcontractor Partners will hire CORE graduates as they are developing this project site. We are seeking residents from the surrounding neighborhoods within the Washington, DC. community to TRAIN TO HIRE.
L. S. Caldwell & Associates, Inc., the Project Contracting and Employment Compliance Officer is tasked to identify District residents, specifically those in Ward 8 where TMAR is being redeveloped. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a high school degree, GED or equivalent.
This ABC CORE Class is the first of a ten (10) week program to be repeated three more times over the next twenty-two (22) months. From the first class we are seeking students to ultimately hire in the following trades:
