Participation Goals

Medicaid Managed Care Program (MMCP) 

AmeriHealth Caritas District of Columbia, Inc. (ACDC) was awarded a contract to provide healthcare and pharmacy services for the Department of Health Care Finance’s (DHCF) Managed Care Program. The Medicaid Managed Care Program (MMCP) consisted of the DC Healthy Families Program (DCHFP), including Adults with Special Health Care Needs (adults receiving Supplemental Security-Income (SSI) and with SSI-related disabilities), the District of Columbia Healthcare Alliance Program (Alliance), and the Immigrant Children’s Program (ICP) With care at the heart of their work, AmeriHealth Caritas works to ensure that not only their members but also the community at large improve their health and receive assistance with addressing economic and social issues that can make accessing proper care difficult.  

 L.S. Caldwell & Associates, Inc. (LSC) was charged with Compliance oversight for ACDC’s Medicaid Managed Care Program (MMCP) to ensure their utilization of District of Columbia’s Certified Business Enterprises (CBEs) was captured and accurately reported to the Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD).  In addition, LSC reviewed and submitted all required documentation to DSLBD on behalf of ACDC.  

Specific strategies established to reinforce compliance conformance include:

LSC was responsible for:

  • Assisting ACDC with understanding and implementing this project’s compliance requirements.
  • Assisting potential CBE Contractors with the completion of the CBE Certification Application and submission to Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD).
  • Providing LSC’s proprietary online Compliance Online Reporting System (CÔR) that tracks, monitors, and reports CBE spending.
  • Providing Compliance Training for subcontractors responsible for submission of Monthly Contractor Reports (MCRs) in CÔR.
  • Monitoring and tracking reporting requirements to ensure all contracting goals are met.
  • Preparing Quarterly Reports to include the collection of CBE Master Service Agreements and Vendor Verification Forms
