Description: Performs all necessary repairs and preventive maintenance for heavy equipment. Flippo Excavator Operator

Description: Uses an excavator to dig according to plans. Works in all types of weather conditions or climate, unless there is an immediate threat of danger. Flippo Superintendent

Description: An experience Superintendent oversees total construction effort to assure that projects are constructed in accordance with specifications, budgets, and schedules. Interfaces with client, governmental agencies, and union representatives, subcontractors, and applicable company personnel. Plans, coordinates, and supervises through Foreman, the activities of all company personnel and assigned projects.

MUST:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ Superintendent experience on heavy highway construction projects
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ Bioretention, Pond Work, Excavation knowledge and experience

Flippo Project Engineer

MUST:

  • Have MS in Water Resources, Biological Systems, Environmental or Civil engineering or equivalent

Description: Read, identify, and understand blueprints related to all above and below ground utilities. Supervise other crew members and perform quality work. Know how to identify fuels (gasoline, diesel, mixed gas), and know which fuel is used to operate each small tool and compressors. Description: Boom/Plate Truck Drivers works in all weather conditions unless there is an immediate threat of danger. Pre-trip vehicle inspection reporting daily before leaving the yard. Climbs in and out of manholes, excavations, and/or other confined or enclosed spaces. Carries and uses trade tools, equipment, and/or materials up to a weight of 95 pounds. Assists in tire changes only when our shop is doing the work. Fuel vehicle and drain air reservoir at the end of your work shift. Construction Inspector

The successful candidate will inspect and document the placement of work items on a variety of public and private projects, with an initial focus on high-profile public sector Civil/Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) projects.  This position will primarily support the company’s operations in the Washington, DC and Prince George’s County, MD.

Description:

Daily, effective communication and collaboration with the Project Manager or Project Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager regarding construction progress and any deficiencies observed.  Interpretation of construction plans, standards and specifications.  Daily inspection and documentation of construction work.  Conduct field surveys to confirm as-constructed conditions.  Perform and check engineering computations for QA/QC review.  Ensure QA/QC tests are performed on each item of work.  Assist in conducting in-stream and watershed data collection and assessments using standardized procedures such as Maryland Biological Stream Survey. (MBSS)

MUST:

  • Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering/Civil Engineering Technology preferred
  • Post-high school technical coursework, certifications or construction management related training such as OSHA and confined space certifications preferred

Green Infrastructure Technician (Part-Time)

The position requires landscapers to perform maintenance and installation of Green Infrastructure Storm Water Management projects in Washington, DC and Prince George’s County, MD. Truck and all necessary equipment will be provided.

Description: Maintenance of including bio retention facilities and adjacent pavement, inlets and landscaped areas.  Keep systems aesthetically pleasing and properly functioning.  Planting and transplanting woody and herbaceous vegetation.  Identifying and communicating public safety issues, structural failures, or issues with plant material.  Maintenance of permeable pavement areas in alleys and parking lanes to remove leaves, sediment and debris.  Functional Testing of facilities using fire hydrants, fire hose and water trucks.
